Lower Falls Recreational Trail Update

The Lower Falls Improvement Association, as a neutral provider of information on recreational trails in and adjacent to our community, has scheduled  VIRTUAL MEETING using Zoom, Thursday, March 20 at 7:30PM. You must register to participate.

The agenda

1. An update on trails by the Riverside Greenway Working Group between Lower Falls and the Charles River/Blue Heron Trail in Auburndale, including work funded by Mark Development in association with the Riverside Station Development.
2. Share  information about the scope of two new contracts by the Mass Department of Conservation and Recreation, scheduled for completion in the next 3 months:
   1. 100% design of a shared use path along Quinobequin Road
   2. Conceptual plan for options to connect the end of the Two Bridges Trail and the new Quinobequin Trail (we understand the rail corridor is excluded as an option)
3. Review the trail options the LFIA Trails Alternative Committee developed in 2009.
4. Discuss what role the LFIA might take going forward as an identified stakeholder in the two DCR contracts.
